Lead Technical Product Manager - ActiveWorx
Apr 2019 - present

Operating in the financial technology sector, ActiveWorx is a Private Equity-Owned organization employing 28 employees throughout the United States.

Responsibilities: Led product management for a B2B SaaS Payments product and led the engineering efforts for an enterprise single-tenant Accounts Payable (AP) automation SaaS platform. Initially joined when the company operated as Mira Systems, an OSG company, and remained through a management-led buyout resulting in the formation of ActiveWorx. ActiveWorx was then acquired by HighRadius in the middle of 2024. HighRadius is a Series C Venture Capital-backed company with about 3k employees globally.

  • AP automation SaaS platform running in AWS and supporting 10+ Fortune 500 public and private sector clients.
  • Designed and led development of custom payment processing solutions for multiple enterprise clients, including:
    • ACH file generation in NACHA format, developed using FreeMarker templates and Java execution.
    • Custom wire and check payment files in proprietary formats based on partner bank requirements.
    • XML check file architecture designed in-house for integration with external check printing vendors.
    • Developed automated file exchange workflows for outbound payments and inbound status updates, integrating with client ERP systems to ensure real-time reconciliation and transparency.
    • Led the design of the user-facing payments module, allowing client users to batch and initiate payments with configurable controls for method, date, and funding flows.
  • Implemented intelligent document capture and OCR validation processes using IBM DataCap.
  • Oversaw configuration of system workflows using IBM FileNet, including custom XML-driven UI design and business logic layers.
  • Drove adoption of analytics and performance tuning through Power BI dashboards used to monitor system and user performance across document capture and payment modules.

Accomplishments: Established product strategy for AP payments product, delivering two production launches within 6–9 months each, ultimately supporting more than $5B in annual payment volume.

  • Scaled the company’s enterprise SaaS platform to handle $75B in invoice volume annually, supporting 10,000+ corporate users.
  • Cut invoice ingestion times from 3 days to under 3 hours within the first year, accelerating processing of 100,000+ monthly invoices and freeing up an estimated 8,000 staff hours per year.
